Emergency Bailout

Dear Dan and all the folks at Para-Phernalia,

I would like to thank all of you for making a product that saved my life. On September 19, 2011, while I was practicing a primary routine, my Skybolt wing had a structural failure at 4.5G. Thirty seconds later I was floating under one of those parachutes. Though I had been carefully briefed by my rigger, Rob Herndon, and had read all about using an emergency parachute I had never parachuted before. I found everything easy to use and was able to steer into a downwind, base and final to avoid some power lines. Despite making a two point landing (feet then seat - then sore seat) I made it with barely a scratch.

I would also like to thank you for the new parachute. You have gone above and beyond to make me a new one at no cost. I can assure you that I will always recommend Para-Phernalia to anyone who needs a chute.

Enclosed is a picture of what was left of my airplane. I am glad I got to watch it impact while hanging from one of your parachutes instead of being part of the impact.
